Description

A pair of German Zeiss Wetzler 6×30 Binoculars with 7.5° wide field of view and leather case. Good working condition.

Serial number: 87662 (this serial number suggests that these binoculars were produced in 1905)

The binoculars have 6x magnification and 30mm objective lens diameter.

Central focusing wheel and fine focus adjustment at the right eyepiece.

Dimensions (when binoculars fully open): 165mm (W) x 115mm (H) x 50mm (D)

Weight: approx. 540g (1.2 lb.)

Comes with a leather neck strap and a leather case (no strap on the case).

No damage to optics and to binoculars body. Inner lenses and prisms have been cleaned where accessible and binoculars images have been calibrated for both eyes.

General wear and tear appropriate with age.

Note: When looking into the binoculars in opposite direction through the objective lens, there appears to be a stain near the edge of the right inner lens possibly under a prism surface which is not accessible at the time of cleaning. However, this does not seem to affect the image clarity in any way when looking through the binoculars in normal way. No need to clean the lenses further at this stage unless an expert collector wish to do this more thoroughly with detailed image calibration afterwards.
