Description
For sale is a pair of vintage British military Bino Prism No.5 Mk IV x7 binoculars, marked O.S. 735 G.A., Bino Prism No.5 Mk IV x7, and Reg. No. 44537.
These are classic military-style prismatic binoculars with individual eyepiece focusing mechanisms rather than a central focusing wheel. Each eyepiece can be adjusted separately to suit the user’s eyesight. They also feature a range finder scale / graticules and an arrow mark, making them an interesting collectable military optics item as well as a usable pair of vintage binoculars.
The optics are intact and the binoculars produce reasonably clear images for their age, so they remain very usable.
The exterior shows visible age-related wear, including paint loss, scuffs, rubbing and marks to the black finish, especially around the objective rims and body edges. The textured body covering is complete and the binoculars have an attractive vintage military appearance.
