Description
Vintage Ross London Steptron 8×30 binoculars, made in England, serial number 24754, supplied with the original fitted leather carry case and leather straps.
The binoculars are in good usable vintage condition. The optics are intact and reasonably clean, and they achieve clear images for their age. Central focusing and the eyepiece adjustment work well.
Cosmetically, there is age-related wear throughout, including paint rubbing, light marks, small chips to the black finish around the bridge and lens rims, and general signs of use. The leatherette body covering is complete and tidy overall. The leather neck strap is attached and aged, but functional.
The case is included and has a burgundy/maroon lined interior. The case shows visible vintage wear, scuffs, creasing and age to the leather and straps, but remains solid and fully functional.
A nice collectable pair of British-made Ross binoculars, suitable for display, collecting or careful use.
