Vintage Ross London Stepnada 7×30 binoculars, complete with original leather carry case.
These are a collectible pair of British-made Ross binoculars, marked “Ross London Made in England” and “7×30 Stepnada 141109 Coated Lenses”. The Ross Stepnada is a well-regarded vintage wide-field model and is considered one of Ross London’s classic British binocular designs.
The binoculars are in used vintage condition with age-related cosmetic wear throughout. There is paint wear, rubbing and marks to the body, eyepiece rims and objective lens surrounds, as shown in the photos. The leather body covering is intact overall, with general wear from age and use.
The optics have no chips or major damage. There is a visible scratch on one objective lens, as shown in one of the photos. However, this is not visible when viewing through the binoculars in normal use. The binoculars produce clear images and are very usable as they are.
The central focusing mechanism works, the folding bridge adjusts as it should, and the right eyepiece dioptre adjustment is fine.
The original brown leather carry case is included. The case shows significant age-related wear, scuffs, marks, discolouration and wear to the lining, but remains a nice period accessory for the binoculars.
