This adapter can be used to mount binoculars to any standard tripod. The adapter has a standard 1/4″x20 mounting screw which can be connected to the centre hinge of the binoculars. Most large binoculars have a tripod adapter bush between the two objective lenses at the front, and the bush is often covered by a plastic screw cap. There is a screw hole with internal 1/4″ thread at the bottom of this adapter, which can be fitted to the screw at the mounting base of the tripod.
- Fits to any standard tripod and to binoculars with tripod mounting bush.
- Strong and lightweight.
- Dimensions: 100mm (H) x 40mm (W) x 40mm (D).
- The distance from base to the threaded top screw is about 94mm.
- Stem width: 20mm
- Weight: approx. 40g.
- Can support load up to 5kg.
- Material: plastic
This item is listed with reduced price because there can be some glue marks on the adapter base, but these do not affect the use of the adapter. Please check the space around your binoculars’ central screw hole (adapter mounting point) to make sure it is at least 20mm wide when you wish to mount the binoculars on tripod. For some binocular models, this space can be smaller than 20mm. However, you can still file the adapter’s leading edge away to enable it to fit.
Some older binoculars may have a slight bigger 3/8″ bush thread. In this case a 1/4″ to 3/8″ converter (adapter) can be used.
