This is a pair of vintage WW1 Aitchison London The Maxa 8x binoculars. The binoculars have 8x magnification and 25mm objective lenses. Image focus is achieved by turning the central focusing wheel and balanced at right eyepiece. The binoculars have solid metal body and it’s in good working order. This item was possibly produced in early 1900s.

Note:
Leather armouring of the binocular body has come off.
This item is in good working condition for its age, no damage to optics. These binoculars give a clear image. Wear and tear appropriate with age.
There are six image calibration screws on the binoculars body, two on each side (as shown in the last two photos), and two on the inner side of binoculars body (near focusing wheel). These screws can be used to adjust the image collimation when necessary. The image collimation appears to be fine so no need to adjust at this stage.
