Description

An exceptional and highly collectible pair of Carl Zeiss Jena Turactem 8x binoculars, dating to the early 1910s, just before the First World War. These binoculars carry serial number 402978, which places manufacture circa 1913–1914, a particularly desirable and historically important period for Zeiss collectors.

The Turactem line represented robust, high-quality civilian and professional binoculars of the era, constructed with heavy brass bodies, black enamel finish, and traditional individual eyepiece focus. Models from this period are increasingly scarce, especially when accompanied by the original leather case.
