Description
A single draw compact telescope of Japanese origin, featuring a clean, minimalist industrial design. This example uses an aluminium main barrel combined with a steel draw tube with a bright polished finish, giving it a solid feel and pleasing contrast in materials.
The draw tube near the eyepiece is engraved “Japan”, indicating post-war Japanese manufacture (likely mid 20th century), a period known for reliable and well-finished optical instruments.
Main Features:
- Magnification: 15x
- Objective diameter: 30mm
- Length: 190mm (closed) – 250mm (extended)
- Main barrel diameter: 32mm

Note: Internal lenses have been cleaned where accessible. Body shows light cosmetic wear consistent with age (see photos).
The internal eyepiece lenses can be accessed by pulling the black eyepiece cover out from the draw barrel (after removing the small fixing screw), as shown in the last three photos. The position of the small inner lens barrel can be adjusted to balance the image position and size.
