Description

Offered here is an original antique 3-draw brass telescope marked “Stanley London” with the maker’s arrow stamp, a well-known hallmark associated with quality British optical and nautical instruments.

The telescope features a brass draw-tube construction with a stitched leather-covered hand grip. When extended, all three draws slide smoothly and hold position well. Optics show age-related wear but remain intact and clean, producing a usable image consistent with a genuine period instrument.

The brass shows an attractive natural patina developed over time, with surface marks and discoloration commensurate with age. The leather grip is intact with visible wear and darkening, adding to the authentic character of the piece. Maker’s marking is clearly visible on the draw tube, as shown in the photographs.

This is a classic example of a Victorian-era British handheld telescope, ideal for collectors of antique optics, maritime antiques, or period decorative display.
