3 Fleet Street, Temple Bar,
London”Newton & Co were a highly regarded London maker of optical and scientific instruments, active during the Victorian era. Telescopes marked with the 3 Fleet Street / Temple Bar address are sought after and date this piece firmly to the mid–late 1800s.

Condition Note:
This telescope shows honest Victorian-era wear, including: Surface marks and patina to brass and age-related wear to leather covering. No obvious dents to brass tubes.
Optics intact without cracks or chips visible in the glass from inspection. Internal lenses have been cleaned where accessible. The scope presents clear and usable images considering its age.
