A genuine 19th-century 3- draw brass tube telescope by Newton & Co, finely engraved:

“NEWTON & Co
3 Fleet Street, Temple Bar,
London”

Newton & Co were a highly regarded London maker of optical and scientific instruments, active during the Victorian era. Telescopes marked with the 3 Fleet Street / Temple Bar address are sought after and date this piece firmly to the mid–late 1800s.

Condition Note:

Optics intact without cracks or chips visible in the glass from inspection. Internal lenses have been cleaned where accessible. The scope presents clear and usable images considering its age.

A fine example suitable for collection, display, or period interior décor, and an excellent addition to any antique scientific instrument collection.
