Description
Vintage Nikon 9×35 7.3° binoculars, marked J-B7, made in Japan by Nippon Kogaku Tokyo (the original name of Nikon Corporation). A nice classic Nikon/Nippon Kogaku pair with original hard case and leather strap.
The binoculars are in good working order for their age. The optics are intact and clean, and they produce clear, sharp images when viewed through. The central focusing wheel works smoothly, and the eyepiece diopter adjustment also works well. The binoculars open and close properly, with the hinge moving as expected.
Please note that the two rubber eyecups are replacements, added because the original eyecups were missing. The binoculars can still be used without these added eyecups, but they are useful for helping reduce stray light entering the eyepieces.
Cosmetically, there are normal signs of age and use, including some light wear to the black finish, case wear, and general marks consistent with vintage binoculars. Please study the photos carefully as they form part of the description.
