K.E.C. 1942

Broadbent Clarkson Type

This example is housed in its original leather covering and comes with the correct leather carry cases, showing honest period wear consistent with wartime service.

Construction & Features:

  • Solid brass 3-draw construction
  • Leather-clad barrel with brass fittings
  • Military issue markings and serial numbers intact
  • Collapses neatly into its original carry cases
  • Extendable sunshade
  • Objective lens: 50 mm
  • Length: 260 mm (closed) – 750 mm (extended, excluding sunshade)
  • Telescope weight: approx. 1.1 kg

Conditions:

Optics intact and present clear images for its age. Lenses have been cleaned where accessible. Some age-related marks and surface wear remain, as expected for an 80+ year old military instrument. No visible dents to brass tubes which show attractive natural patina. Leather shows wear, scuffs and ageing but remains structurally intact.

This is a genuine wartime British military telescope, not a modern reproduction. Ideal for collectors of WWII militaria, military optics, or display in a period study, office or collection.
