Description

Vintage U.S. Pattern 10×60 binoculars, serial number 48513, supplied with the original fitted brown leather carry case.

These are large vintage Porro prism binoculars with 10x magnification and 60mm objective lenses. The binoculars are marked “U.S. Pattern” on one prism plate and “10×60” on the other.

The optics are intact and images are clear when viewing through the binoculars, especially considering their age. The lenses show age-related signs of use, with some light dust/marks visible, but they remain very usable.

Cosmetically, the binoculars are in good vintage condition overall, with general age-related wear, small marks, light paint wear and some rubbing to the black finish. The textured body covering is complete and tidy overall. The original neck strap is fitted and shows age/use.

The brown leather case is included and presents well, with red interior lining. The case has age-related scuffs, marks and wear, but remains a nice display/storage companion for the binoculars.

Believed to be a Ross-related U.S. Pattern contract model, likely dating from the mid-to-late 1960s.
