Description
This is a small 6-draw (7 sections) brass telescope made by J.H. Steward. The telescope has 25mm objective lens with estimated around 20x magnification. It is in good working order.

This telescope is in very good working condition. Super compact and light weight. Very convenient to carry around.
No damage to the scope body and to brass tubes and the telescope draws glide smoothly.
No chips or damage to scope lenses and no fungus on the internal lenses. All internal lenses have been cleaned. The telescope gives clear images.
General wear and tear to the brass surface appropriate with age and use.

The optician, James Henry Steward, founded his business in 1852 and produced an extensive range of items for military use advertised as instruments for ‘Reconnoitring, Sketching, Night Marching, Signally, Gun Laying’.
In the middle of the 19th century the business was appointed as the optician to Her Majesty’s British & Foreign Governments, the National Rifle Associations of England, India, Canada & the Colonies and the National Artillery Association.
